elise-shop.com has teamed up with a number of respected suspension / steering engineers to develop this all new steering Quickrack.
Although hardly visible without actually opening the rack, a lot of things have changed to the better on this rack.
Rather than trying to re-invent the wheel, we’ve chosen to upgrade the rack rather than building an all new one. The original rack was already pretty good, but had a few flaws.
What has been improved is the inner lining, which has been changed from nylon to phosphor bronze.
This has resulted in a rather bullet proof solution.
Besides reducing bump steer, we’ve particularly looked at improving reliabilty with the quick rack ratio as was tested on the early Exiges.
Our elise-shop.com steering rack has a 2.36 turns lock to lock ratio, which is giving a much better/directer/quicker feeling than the original 2.7 turns rack.
