Exedy’s Organic clutch plates are developed using an asbestos-free ultra-fibre friction-facing material with high heat resistance and burst strength characteristics. Giving these clutches a superior response and pedal feedback in both shift operation and half-engagement. The performance of standard organic friction materials usually suffers after slipping as higher temperatures and heat fade is introduced. Offering improved high-temperature fade resistance, the clutch plates’ ultra-fibre material will recover rapidly after a short cooling-down period ensuring response and performance are maintained. Due to its high strength capabilities, a steel backing, which can cause RPM “lock-out” or synchro damage, is not required, making these clutch plates suitable for all track day, motorsport, drift and performance-modified stage 1 applications.

Exedy’s Single Series clutch covers are designed to achieve a clamping load approximately 40% higher than the OE factory part, enabling a higher torque capacity. The clutch cover is manufactured using ductile material for all pressure plates that ensures high burst strength is achieved across the whole temperature range, providing fast and reliable shift and performance gains.
