While reviewing the wishbone bush offerings for the Elise platform we felt we would be able to improve what’s currently on the market.

First of all, we have had a critical look at the bearings and found a way of getting better quality bearings at a lower price by combining them with the production of a high volume product.
What we’re using now is a self lubricating PFTE bearing

Second, we decided to go for proper hard anodising as the sides of the inserts do get some movement and you don’t really want them to wear.
With 50um hard anodising we’ve increased the protection layer and made the inserts last longer.

Last but not least, we’ve chosen to produce the inserts from a high grade (7075-T6) aluminium which meets aerospace specification.

Combining that with a lower price.. we’ve made proper bearings kits a more interesting option than they’ve ever been before!
