Highly tuned and high compression engines can make life hard on the standard starter motors. On these kind of engines, people seem to go through starter motors every now and then.
The reason for this is the original Rover part is already at it’s limits with in the original configuration. More compression or simply more heat can cause the starter motor to fail or can cause trouble when the engine is hot.
These axial units are based on a 1.4kW motor with internal gear reduction system. Although they can be compared to the High Torque units in terms of power, torque en reliability, these have been designed to reduce weight.
The unit only weighs 2.7kg which is 30% less than our high torque starter motor!

Unfortunately, we're not able to ship through postal services due to price and reliability issues with Dutch post. If you want us to ship (a) small item(s) across the world, we will have to charge you the 'courier starting rate' which is for up to 1kg. In such cases, it might make sense to try and combine with larger / heavier items to make it worth your while.
