The IACV valve (stepper motor) controls the amount of air which flows into the inlet manifold when idling. A non functioning IACV valve will cause the car to idle quite bad or even not idle at all.
This is the original OE part which replaces the original IACV valve of your car.

The Elise S1 version comes as stepper motor only. The plastic manifold is not included.
